Are the Rittenberrys all mica or do they also come in laquer? _________________ The only thing better than doing what you love is having someone that loves you enough to let you do it.

Up to this point, they have all been mica, but I know that Gary is building one laquer guitar now as an "experiment". Whether or not he will offer laquer as a standard option in the future, I don't know... |

RC,
Like NIKE says, just do do it! I am in a mad love affair with my new black mica SD-10 3&5. I never sounded so good, and I'm only 2 1/2 yrs. into the psg world. You won't be sorry my friend! |

I hope Gary has good luck & starts making laquer guitars to sale! The only way to make a Rittenberry built guitar better...would be if it was laquered flame or birdseye maple. My heart is pounding faster just thinking about that possibility!!!

RC,
You must explain to her that as a steel player, you and thousands like you have a condition known as "GAS". Gear Aqusition Syndrome. There is no known cure, however, it can be treated and controlled by collecting steels and amps. With GAS, there is always one more steel that you just have to add to your collection. I am sure she will understand.
Casey, what a great idea! I'd love to own a Ritt like that too!!

Maybe I haven't seen 'em yet but what comments are available on Rittenberry guitars? Do they really sound as lush as the one Bobbe plays in "Green Machine", noticeably more than other guitars? I know I can get into real trouble here with treatises on tone and how to get it, but...
I'm waiting to hear from Bobbe on a price for an SD-10 laquered figured maple (none made as yet?), so if they cost twice as much as a comparable Williams or Carter I'll probably dream on...........
Anyway, any owners out there with commmentary? Thanks! |
