This is a new format for RISGA in response to having to wait a whole year for our annual steel show.
This gives 6 members a chance to play backup (one at a time!) for various guest singers as well as play steel instrumentals.
Then we have a guest band (featuring a steel player) play a set by themselves, then bring the other steel players up to join in and finally back to the original format for the rest of the night.
It's unrehearsed and you never know what will happen or who will stop by. This will be a lot of fun, as last month's jam was a blast.
Dancing and guest performers invited! |

This jam is sure to be a lot of fun. I played at the last one and I am looking forward to the great talent line up for this jam! Like Tony said, it is unrehearsed and I think you will hear the players at their best! I like music in this order. Studio cd's then live cd's, then live rehearsed music, then the best is the just let'er fly and come what may live music!! Yes, there is order in this kind of music but the artists are allowed to express themselves in a much freer fashion which speaks more intimately with the listener. Don't miss it. You won't be disappointed!

Sorry to say, this event has been cancelled.
The club that was hosting the event was shut down today by the local fire chief, due to an inadequate sprinkler system.
