Not a a bad guitar for the money as long as whoever buys it is aware it's not a real Emmons and without a whole lotta cash, never will be.

Mu guess is that this is one of Tom's conversions.

Before anybody screams "sacrilege", Tom told me his conversions did not alter the way the guitars sounded, and I believe him. Tom is a genius at this sort of thing. he put an MSA typo changer in a ZB 12 string that I wish I had bought.

It is 389 miles from my front door to Tom's. I've made the trip several times prior to Jim Palenscar opening up his shop. Tom's wife once asked me if I couldn't find somebody closer to work on my steels. My answer was that I could find people who were closer, but I couldn't find anybody who was better.

I have seen that same logo on a replica Sd-10 - underside of the one I saw looked like a Nashville LTD.

Sorry guys, not an Emmons, nothing on it is Emmons and never has been. It is probably a Naylor, The Emmons decal came from my store at some time, Ed Naylor got some before he died two years ago.
This guitar just might work somehow. It is not a Emmons, or even a "conversion".

There is something familiar about it though, I'll keep thinking,

I am in agreement with Bobbe about this steel.
On his worst day Gary Rittenberry would never turn out a steel like this, and especially would never put it on the market.
