TAB Request: Porter Wagoner Be a Little Quieter TAB

Hi folks,

I am wondering if some one can TAB the steel parts from the Porter Wagoner track Be a Little Quieter off his fantastic Wagonmaster CD?
Please don't tell me its Marty Stuart using his Clarence B-Bender or I'll feel really dumb Smile

I've never tabbed any of that album out but it's one of my all time favorites. The uncompressed raw sound of the steel is awesome. Good pickin', great songs and Marty Stuart plays guitar along side of Fred Newell. I played that sucker through 10 times straight one week and still have it in my rotation. If you don't get any takers, I might have a go at it.

I know its a lot to ask, but if I can just get the intro and some other fills I'll be a happy camper. I'm a beginner and really would like to learn that part.

I initially upon hearing the track tried to play this on my Tele! I thought it was Marty B Bending.

Similarly I was watching a clip on an old Porter Wagoner show I downloaded, and a 5 string banjo player was bending riffs like nobody's business, sounding VERY steel like! I'll try and find it to make a Quicktime clip to put on the werld wide weeb (saying it with girlfriends Scottish accent).

Going back to Mr. Wagoners last LP. I am amazed how high quality it is. I admit to making a lot of moans about modern pop country (I'm a fan of DBT, Trent Summar and Shooter to name a few) and the Wagonmaster CD is a REVELATION. What a pity Mr. Wagoner passed. Thankfully this recording will allow us all to revel in his voice and honesty. And thanks to Marty Stuart for facilitating the sessions.
I also often listen to this whole LP, and often when flying. It calms me unlike anything else.

The banjo player was Buck Trent and he is featured on a few cuts on this album also. He had a great breakfast show out in Branson 10 years ago with two kids playing awesome twin fiddles. I've tried to get a lot of people interested in this album but no ne believes me when I say how good the picking is and how dynamic the sound levels are. I stole the drum and steel part off the intro for this song as my into to "I Don't Believe I'll Fall In Love Today".

Oops! My intro was in the same vein and I did follow the same idea but it's not that close. I tuned the lead guitar low E string down 4 frets for the intro.

Here's the tab to the intro of Be A Little Quieter. It's not real easy to play in some respects as it requires you to quickly rock on and off the 3rd floor pedal and you must either palm block (preferably), pick block or a cheap way out would be to mute the strings at the bridge with your right palm. You also could resort to a plastic bar to get something close to this sound.

Don't be tempted to play the 5th string at the 12th fret to simulate what is going on with the C pedal at fret 7 with the 4th string. It won't have the same flow or be nearly as clear!

Optionally, the 12th note over, a lone 7C on string 4, can be played on string 1 at the 7th fret. This might make the execution easier than restriking the 4th string.
