6/15/08 A nice turn out in spite of high fuel prices and Father's Day. Ten steelers showed up for a nice afternoon of fellowship and fun at The Branson Community Center.
Left to right : Tyler Hall, Scotty Henderson, Terry Bethel, Roger Hurst, Bob Cardin, Jerry Hanley, Jerry Foster, Don Halsey, Eddie Lange, Hank Ruf (up looking for his shoes) and The great back up band (picture below)
Lou Colbe (bass) David Bennett (keyboard) Russ Burns (drums) Great Job Guys--we appreciate it !!
It was a special treat to have our friend and super picker, Scotty Henderson there for the day. Teresa dropped him off on her way to Harrison, Ar. to visit her brother. Hope she didn't forget to pick him up : last time I saw him he was setting on his steel case on the curb out front waiting and a rain coming !!!
I have several pictures that will be posted on our web site when son, Doug, gets here to my office to do it. Watch for them and our big July event coming -- all on our web site www.ozarksteelguitar.com |

It was a great day of pickin and friendship. Top it off with a throwed roll from Lamberts and the day was a huge success. Thanks for having me! _________________ D-10 JCH Dekley U-12 D-8 Magnatone Mullen RP Evans RE 200 profex 2 BJS bars

Hey Bill.... Thanks for taking and posting the great pictures. It was well worth the $100 bucks of gasoline to drive down and hear such great talent. Everyone played so well and Scotty Henderson, Terry Bethel, and Tyler Hall were really cookin'. What an inspirtion to go home and practice a lot more!
Also, special thanks to Hank Ruf and everyone in the Ozark Steel Guitar Association for continuing to bring us great events featuring the steel guitar. Looking forward to the big 3-day show July 25, 26. & 27th. |

Thanks for your kind words Bill.... I was really nervous around all those great players. It has been a long road back after not playing for 15 years but I'm looking forward to coming back with better "chops" next time. |
