Wanting to try a Pod XT,
but have yet to find settings, I'm going to get the chance in a session where they have one and would love and appreciate any input, so I can try to dial in.
If it sounds good would purchase one.
Anybody that wants to share, it is much appreciated in advance,
Thanks,
Randy |

There are some downloadable (and installable) POD XT programs on my web site. Most are just effects only patches as I only use my XT for effects only, no amp or speaker modeling. I use my POD XT between my Hilton volume pedal and the input on my Nashville 112. Click Here |

I'd start right out with the "Double Verb" setting. It's modeled after the Fender Twin Reverb. I've refined mine quite a bit from there, but it's a good starting point. It's hooked to a Stewart power amp &
Eminence Neo 15, so I'm not too familiar with the NV112. _________________ Straight Ahead 500 watt mini~power amp |

Agree with the Double Verb. I also like the Jazz Clean and Tiny Tweed models for steel, as well. _________________ Loren Claypool

MANY are in the archives. Do a search for Podxt settings.
I'll post some if I have time tomorrow.

I've found the best tone on modelers by using the big tube amp models, with the "preamp" gain turned down really low, maybe 12 - 20 on a 0 - 99 scale. Look at HiWatt, Boogie Mark I, early non-master Marshall etc. A Twin Reverb model is modeling a 65-watt power section, and the increased headroom in a 120-watt model sounds better to me. |

I found some very good settings for pedal steel on the Line 6 forum (I forget off the top of my head what it's called these days). They used the Hiwatt amp. Personally, I use no amp or speaker emulation; just use the pod as an effects unit.

Has anyone mentioned that you need a computer with gearbox loaded on it to transfer programs? Not needed to change a program that is on the pod already, or formulate a new program. _________________ Bill Ford S12 CLR, S12 Lamar keyless, Misc amps&toys Sharp Covers
