Are you familiar with secondlife.com? It seems they are having problems with hackers. If so, what is your opinion of this site?
-thanks in advance, Andy

Hi Andy!
I took a peek at the website and didn't see and hacker codes in the source code, but they could be embedded into inside pages, rather than the home page. Could you elaborate on what you know, or believe is happening that is attributable to hackers?

"Normal" people should disregard the following paragraph.

Andy, I noticed an RPG fantasy fighter on the lower right side of their home page. She is similar to those found on Gaia Online, which has come under attack because of a dispute over distribution of Memes (e.g. The Infamous Longcat Crusades). Are there any Memes offered as rewards or merchandise on this website. If so, there may be some P.O'd teenage hackers trying to DDoS or deface the website in retaliation for alleged theft of Memes.

I have wandered around Second Life.
But I still have a first one.

Not surprised there are some bad hackers there,
much of the development is pretty much
classical hacker driven.
In that group tyhere usually are a few bad apples.

I will continue to watch it develop.
It, in many ways,is the future of marketing
for many products. It's varied social
engineering bit is what's driving it's development now.

I got on Second Life via an engineering article that talked about some places that had plumbing examples. I have my name, but no Linden $'s. I have been at several different places but couldn't find the plumbing examples. Most of the time it's wandering around places where there are few people. I did talk to one person, he said the place is just a glorified talk site.

I get on it now and then, but after 10 minutes or so I'm totally bored and sign off.
