I have both the N112 and N400. On the back of the N112 there is a Pre Amp Out/CD Input which I use to play along with a CD. The N400 also has a Pre Amp Out on the back. My question is can the Pre Amp out on the 400 be used the same way as the Pre Amp Out/CD Input on the 112?
I did a search, but my modem connection is very slow, and after a half hour I figured it may be just as fast to ask here. I'll be away from the computer until this afternoon sometime, so if any replies from me are needed, it will be a while. Thanks in advance for all of your responses.

Hi Lavelle,
On the 400 I now use the Pre Amp In and Out for my delay pedal, which I run a cord from the Pre Amp Out to the "In" jack on my DOD FFX 9 pedal, and from the "Out" on the pedal I run to the Pre Amp In. That is the only thing I use the Pre Amp In and Pre Amp Out for on the 400 now. I would like to run my CD player through it too like I do with the 112. Of course I realize I could not use the Delay Pedal in these same inputs while using a CD player, but that isn't a problem.
As far as the 112, I simply use jack marked "Pre Amp Out/CD Input" for plugging my Sony CD Walkman D-EJ100 by using an 1/8" Stereo cord with a 1/8" to 1/4" stereo adapter. I control the volume of the CD output with the Master Gain. I also use the 3 cord volume pedal setup which has been written about very much on the Forum already. I use no other devices on either amp so I don't think this answer is going to help you. I am sure there are many other people here who can answer your question.
That being said, here is the 3 cord setup I use. I have a Goodrich L120 which has 1 in and 2 outs. From the Per EQ patch on the 112, I go from the "Send" to the Input of the pedal, and from one of the outputs I go to the "Return". I then go from the guitar to a Peterson Strobo Flip "In" the from the "Out" another cord goes to either the High Gain or Low gain input. I never have any problem with any signal or sound distortion with this setup.
The 400 Is wired the same way as far as volume pedal and input from the guitar.

Can anybody answer my original question regarding playing a CD player through a Nashville 400 Pre Amp Out like you can with a Nashville 112? Thanks.
