Can anyone post some recommendations of E7 playing by non peddlars available on CD ? I know Shot Jackson played E7 with Johnnie and Jack but that's about it

Actually, wasn't Shot's tuning E major:
E G# B E G# B E, low to high, which may have been occasionally called a "7" tuning because of the extra string? That root note on top reduced the number of slants Shot needed to do for his style of playing.
