I have a 10 string SuperSlide. I was wondering if anybody knew of a nice lap steel gig bag that it would fit in or anybody that makes them. Maybe something with an external pocket for the legs and volume pedal. I've had to do a lot of walking with it recently and thought there might be something out there that would make it a little easier. |

I use this bag to carry lap steels. It has backpack straps and a place to stow gear. I don't think there is room for legs and a volume pedal though.

When I need a special case I alway use the Colorado Case Company:

You may want to call them to explain what you want but they can do it. |

Couldn't you use the standard Superslide padded gig bag and add shoulder straps and a leg pouch? The stock bag is already a perfect fit and very lightweight. |

I have been looking at the Baby Taylor guitar gig bag, which I think is about 34" long, for lap steel. It was recommended by another Formite. EBay’s got a good auction for themCLICK HERE |

I have a baby tayler case and it did not work for either of my Ricky's or the melobar. Too big at the bout. It was at a yard sale for $5.00. The kid broke the guitar... |

if you go to a skateboard shop they have backpacks that skateboards fit in, and a compartment for other stuff. I believe those would be large enough, though perhaps a bit loose. |
