Glad to see no Communists were elected, all good people. This is one of the best run clubs I have seen. More clubs should select advisory boards where no person on the board has a personal agenda or ax to grind. Officers need to head the advise of the advisory board. One show/club I know about has a guy/board member playing 1 1/2 hours on two different days, while the rest of the players get 30 minutes. This has cut attendence to their club's shows. Plus it has steel players taking about it, which kind of ruins anything done on the 2--- 1 1/2 hour segments.

Ray, what a great jam this weekend was. I can't believe Lee Ogle missed it and the raffle for the new G2 (you had to be present to win). Lee, I will show it to you at the next meeting.... Very Happy Very Happy

It is wonderful to have Jerry Hoffman always backing us up and I am sure he is happy to have Doug Cole and Bob Massey helping him out now. Doug always gives us fantastic singing when we need it.

Our president, Ray Qualls, is the reason the KSGA is a well run club. He knows how to get the job done and keep everyone happy. I am sure his job is made easier by having club members who are nice and kind people as well. Randy and I really are so proud to be a part of this club because everyone really is kind and no one has an ego. We attend the meetings once a month and enjoy each and every one of them.

Due to injuries I received from hittin the ground I was not going to be able to play last Sunday. After church, I checked on my dad, and ended up takin him to the emergency room. That took all afternoon.
Sound like it was a great meeting.

I think Dana Stewart said it all! I couldn't agree more Dana. Now, about the ego subject. I may have seen it surface just a bit when Randy got up, and played steel a few months back. Laughing Randy, you didn't think I could resist that one do you Pal?

You get him Curt! Laughing

I am not sure what might happen in the August meeting. Debbie Nicklas told Randy she would bring her banjo if he would bring a steel. Now if this happens, I for sure want to be there to see it. Might want to bring ear plugs though. Laughing Sorry Randy and Debbie.

Your right Dana. The only thing I bake is cornbread. That might get old quick unless I bring the Navy beans loaded with pork and crispy fried potatoes. I can't take it any longer.... I'm on my way to the kitchen... Very Happy

Ray, I think Rick and I could handle that job.

Curt, I think you're right. Randy was just asking me where Fred was. We figured he would be in the middle of all this food talk. Now we know he paid Scotty to say it for him. Laughing

Fred, I don't think anything that comes out of this house is low-cal. Most of it is healthy though. Everything goes fine until an hour after dinner. Then, everything breaks lose and I feel like I'm at Willie Wonka's with all the good tasting but bad-for-you snacks. Very Happy

Nope you don't have to pay me to eat but I will let Fred buy. I have invented a new dish. It's called a hillbilly fortune cookie. It's a lottery ticket in a peice of cornbread. yum yum!!!!!!!!!!!
