Here's a new steel tune. This 1940's era Hawaiian standard is from the pen of the great Andy Iona. Both Bing Crosby and Artie Shaw had hits with this one as well.

I'm playing my "new" 1954 Fender MOTS Champion six string steel in C6 (CEGACE). The steel has a new replacement pickup by Jason Lollar. Jason emphasized the mids a bit more in this design. The guitar's electronics were completely rewired by forumite and friend Bill Creller.

Gliding along the strings is my new Tribo-Tone bar. The rhythm guitar is the 2003 D'Angelico archtop. Uke is my 2006 Talsma Tenor. Band In A Box - bass. All the instruments are recorded direct - no mics.

The only modification to the Fender's tone is a slight bit of compression and a bit of reverb.

South Sea Island Magic

South sea island magic
Has taken possession of me
I'm content forever to
Linger and dream by the sea

Moonlight, twilight, starlight
And songs that are old but still new
South sea island magic
Has brought me the magic of you
