I would like to post some tab without using paper and copying it to computer.

Can anyone recommend a program that would help me do this? Also, short of buying a program, is there any way to use a Mac G 4 to do this?
Thanks, stevet

always remember to put the [ write> tab, then] then when you are done writing your tab you put [ then / then tab, then] its the lower case]. when you have it right it will show up in a little white box like this and will be in line
Tab:
 im in the white box

Magic, thanks, again Joseph. Do you mean you put this BEFORE the completed tab: [ write> tab, then] and this at the end of the tab:[ then / then tab, then]?
Joseph, how did you figure this out? Was it something you knew just from working with computers, are the instructions somewhere on The Forum? Whichever, thanks a lot. stevet

Steve this is build in software the forum has if you have to first open a left bracket [tab (i left the right ] out because it would had put me in that mode and you would not had been able to see what I wrote) to its bracket tab bracket then after you are all done you do bracket forward slash /tab then the right bracket again if I wrote it out you would not had seen what I wrote hope that makes sense in other words you would not had seen the brackets or the word tab so in order (1) left bracket (2)the word tab (3) right bracket(4) do your tab (5)left bracket (6) forward slash (7)the word tab) hit preview see if what you dont shows up in the white box. if it dont show up in the white box it isnt right make sure its lower cased brackets the ones after the P on your keyboard. Steve, I find if I want to post any tab it's easier to type it out in Notepad first, not making it too wide and then copy and paste it into the post following the tab tags. Like this:

[tab] <i>your tab pasted here</i> [/tab]

<i>(I turned off the BBCode in this post to show you what was being explained above.)</i> Winking

Tab can be tricky to post. Until I figured out the Notepad thing, I had to "edit and preview it" over and over... It was always off somewhere along the way. Another note: in Notepad you almost have to leave it minimized to fit the post. If it looks right minimized, it will likely look right in the post. If it's full screen and looks right, minimize it and see if it jumbles it up. Winking

Joseph: Sorry to be dense, but where are you starting from? Are you logged into the forum and writing a new posting or replying to a posting, or are you starting somewhere else?

Joseph: So I think you are saying you draft the tab directly into the body of a new posting screen, or a reply posting screen? Is that correct?

Also, how do you turn off the bbc code (or BCCode)?

I'm still lost.

Joseph, Ernie and Paul, thanks for your time and knowledge. I finally got a tab up on The Forum. It's "Seven Year Ache", sung by Rosanne Cash a while back. steve t
