Just in case anyone missed this interview with the Great John Hughey. It is on Danny's site which has good info concerning a number of topics.

This was a great interview, I read it all. Thanks for posting. John was my favorite player. I am sure many Forum members have enjoyed reading the interview as much as I did.

Great interview! Hughey was certainly an inspiration to me. I have a couple of his CDs and I can't get enough. Wish he was still with us.

Danny needs to change the background on his site, though. By the time I finished reading the interview, I had a headache.

I think this was a great interview! Of course, I'm prejudised because John Hughey is one of my all time favorite steel players. But, I think all of the other greats should be interviewed, too. We're losing them, unfortunately, as the clock keeps ticking. They can all offer great insight, along with personal anecdotes. These treasures are timeless and should be archived.
Good work, Danny!

I am happy to hear that everyone enjoyed my article on John Hughey. I wrote this article many years ago when I was a staff writer for Russ Rask's, Steel Guitar World Magazine. John was a close personal friend of mine, and like many of you, I absolutely adored his playing and style, and he was indeed a prince of a man in so many ways.

For those of you who have also had the honor and pleasure of meeting John's wife Jean, I'm sure that you will agree that Jean is also a real treasure of a person, and so much fun to be around. I look forward to seeing and talking to her every chance I get, and I hope she will be with us for a very long time to come. There is still so much more to tell about John Hughey that I could probably write a book about him. Perhaps one day I will?

I had my wife, Regina change the background. Hopefully this will be a little easier on the eyes.

Thanks again to all of you who enjoyed this article.
