I have a Goodrich 7A but it has a broken battery ON/OFF toggle switch on top. The centre "toggle" received a bump and has pushed through the inside switch mechanism - rendering it useless.
I cant seem to get hold of Goodrich....does anyone have any contact info, the phone # for Goodrich on the unit itself doesnt work!? The obvious thing would be to ask for a replacement switch but I cant hold of them!
or, if I replaced the contact switch myself, what would I ask for?
When you open it up it has 3 connectors (left=white, middle=red, right=red wire), Im imagining the switch is toggling between connecting, left+middle OR middle+right??? is that correct...?
Any help appreciated!
thanks |

Is there a standard way that the "connections" are made, when you buy a switch like that? or is that something you have to specify?
thanks! |

Rodger, It has two conections, you should be able to un soldier your old conections and soldier the new switch in. it is a on-off switch. I have a Goodrich
matchbox that had no switch, so I put one on it, works great. Hope this helps, Leon |

hi -
I got a switch at radioshack (a very pricey $3 just kidding).
Ive re-connected the terminals to match the way they were....however, Ive never had a working version of a 7A (just a broken one!) so.... my question is...when the switch is OFF I get nothing (= no sound), is that correct? I thought it might just give a "dry" signal ie. act like a bypass with no-effect.
Anyone? Thats an easy question to answer if you have 7a! |

When you turn the switch off it stops the signal.
The switch disingages the battery to save the battery therefore no signal. Hope this helps. Leon |
