Phill, I have a National double 8 but don't know what a New Yorker is and I don't know the year this was built. It is white and black and I am interested in selling it. It looks very good for age and the case is also in very good condition. If this sounds anything like what you are looking for let me know and I can send photos.

For thoses who would answer this wanted ad with a 6 string new yorker let me know about it but I am holding out to find a 8 string but will consider a 6 if I can not locate a 8 string within the next month or two. thanks for all who have responed to the want ad sofar.
