I restored this amp about 5 years ago. It was a chassis only from the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. I used a Peavey Pacer cabinet, Fender Brown Tolex, Oxblood cloth, black piping around the grill, Peavey leather handle, Peavey small logo, three spring Accutronics tank, all new chrome corners and a 1203-4 Black Widow.
This amp has been in the possession of my friend, Jim Wallace since a week after I finished it! He had it and two Session 400 amps. Due to ailing back problems he sold the two Sessions a year ago and now is finally going to let go of this amp. He is playing thru a 20lb amp now, the Acoustic Image amp.
Just last year I went thru it again and put in computer grade power filter caps.
It is a winner, tone to the bone. The only other one I have heard of was a prototype with a 12" BW that belonged to Buddy Emmons. Bobby Bowman had it now and told me it is a killer amp as well!!!
