Those iPODS have been the best thing that ever happened to me musically.
Before the iPOD, I always spent so much time
finding the tape or CD, then finding the song in the tape, then rewinding it to practice it over and over.
Now, I get 3 times more practice in for any given time period.
It has really helped.
I am of the firm belief, that if you haven't practiced along with the record or in the band, you
haven't practiced it at all!
Bob
And it sure makes the music room a lot neater! |

Bob,
Put me down with the IPOD crowd also...was using a Laptop which was working fine but the IPOD is just great! I've got all my tracks loaded and as you know, you can make playlists which really simplifies life. |

IPOD
I don't want to live without it.
I have about 25 setlists in order.
I download our Church's praise and worship music each week.
I can refresh my memory, practice, listen to the first few seconds of each. Listen on the way, etc.

I agree.
I leave each lesson with a CD of the actual lesson with my teacher playing everything we went over that week. I burn it to the Ipod and listen to and from work each day. I hear how it is "supposed" to sound for a few days before I actually sit down to practice. Therefore comitting it to memory. Plus it makes it easy when I want to go back and work on an earlier lesson.
I plug that Ipod right into the second channel of my amp and away I go.

Ie Ie Bob ,the ipod is great.I actually took it one step further a few weeks ago and was backing 4 different artists Id never played with previously for a festival and as I have memory problems I snuck my ipod nano on stage in my pocket and one ear in.I played the intros of each song where time permitted to get a vibe.Other than looking like a secret agent it was highly successful. The ipod is one of the best tools ever.Cheers |

I also love my ipod. CDs and backing tracks are loaded into mine, and I have used it for solo gigs too. All I have to do is plug it right into the house PA system and I'm all set. |

Another member of the IPOD group here. Like Ron, I use it mainly for our bands Praise & Worship music. I can listen with earphones, plug it into my truck's sound system, and plug it into the monitor board at church for rehearsal. I don't travel without it either. It makes long airport waits, and long flights much shorter. I have a 30gig video model, and I have around 400 albums on it as well as several video clips, and a huge file of pictures of the grandkids, and my guitar collection, and the drive is only a little over half full.
Great little gadget. _________________ Darvin Willhoite
MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, a restored MSA Classic SS, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro. |
