The dates for the 2008 Aloha International Steel Guitar Convention are July 17, 18, 19 -- note these represent changed dates from prior years, it is 3rd week in July instead of the 2nd week.

We will have as our guests from "HAWAII" Eddie Palama and Paul Kim.

Eddie Palama has played with many Hawaiian Music Legends such as Gabby Pahinui, Atta Isaacs, Genoa Keawe, Eddie Kamae and Danny Kaleikini and likes to talk story. He has recorded with "The Peter Moon Band, Theresa Bright, Keith and Carmen Haugen, Sandwich Isle Band, Pahinui Brothers and Hawai'i Loa.

Paul Kim is an all around great Hawaiian Musician and Vocalist (He plays Steel Guitar, Uke, Rhythm, Bass and Hawaiian Falsetto Vocalist. He plays regularly at the Halekulani - House Without A Key and has played with Aunty Genoa Keawe.

"THERE IS MORE" -- Also coming from Hawaii will be Bobby Ingano and Jeff Au Hoy. They are both outstanding musicians who will bring Hawaii to you.

Other Mainland Hawaiians: Duke and Laverne Ching, Herbert and Joanne Hanawahine, Bernie Endaya and L T Zinn -- oops the last one is pure haole.

Herbert Hanawahine is an outstanding Hawaiian Steel player who played for many years with Aunty Genoa Keawe. He has an old classic Hawaiian style.

The Aloha International Steel Guitar Assn Website will be updated periodically in the coming weeks so be sure to watch for updates to the "WINCHESTER ALOHA WEEK"

Yup, Herbert plays the beautiful old Hawaiian style, which I'm told is the Benny Rogers influence.
