I'm hoping to find a Nashville area steeler, who has a "Black Box" that would be willing to let me drop by to look at, and maybe pull a couple of measurements from it.

I've had a couple of inquiries, about fabricating a simple system of getting one mounted to the guitar. If there is somebody in the greater Nashville area who would be gracious enough to allow me to stop over, at their own convenience, I'd be grateful.
I can bring beer.
I need to do something fairly soon, as I've been keeping a couple of fellas in a holding pattern, and I'd really like to get it solved for them.

Thanks,
Your pal, Dale

Dale,

keep in mind that there are two different Black Box chassis out there. The old one is a bit thicker and shorter. The newer model is thinner and flatter. Both have different base dimensions.

Just a thought on the topic. I'm guessing someone may want it mounted on the guitar so they can more easily reach the Z knob. But other than that, there aren't really any good reasons that I can see to have such a heavy and clunky device mounted up on the guitar when it normally sits on the floor next to the volume pedal just a few inches away from reach. But I say go for it if someone feels the need. Keep in mind they weigh about 4 pounds.

Thanks Brad,
No, I wasn't aware of that. Do they both have rubber feet on the bottom that are screwed in?
If so, the chassis wouldn't make as much of a difference for the method that I hope to use.
As far as the practicality of mounting it, I wouldn't have a clue,...I've just had a couple of fellas interested in the possibility.
(Theres only one control knob?)

Thanks for the quick reply here.
