Daniel Johnston with steel...

I saw Daniel Johnston at The Venue in Salt Lake City last week.

The local band backing him had a pedal steel guitarist (Fessy S-10)!

Daniel came on stage holding on to a can of Mountain Dew - spilled some on his shirt and the front row. He sang "Speeding Motorcycle" with a steel behind him!

He packed the house and everyone sang along to "Devil Town" and "True Love Will Find You In The End".

I'm a big Daniel fan - can't explain it.
