Hey guys,
I have just bought a wonderful second hand Emmons and was hoping to use the resources on this forum to track down the year of manufacture. Obviously the serial number along with photos will help with this but I cannot find the serial number on the pedal steel.
Is there a stock standard position where the serial numbers are on Emmons?

The serial number is stamped on the underside near the changer. The end piece that the legs are mounted on.

There seems to be some Emmons guitars out there without serial #s. Could be different reasons why. The end plate may have been replaced due to damage at one time, or possibly a promo model,.I have a SKH D-10 with no serial #. But I did find the letters B. A. 5-85 written on the mounting plate under the pickup.
If you can't find one on the guitar, try looking under the pickup. Hope this helps.
Anyone else have missing ser #s?

B.A.5-85 may have been built by Bryan Adams 5/85, just a guess on my part but a fine guitar if this is the case.

Clinton,

I am on the phone right now with Bryan, he confirms that he built this guitar in May 1985. To confirm this send me a PM and I will tell you how to know that Bryan built this guitar.
