After performing a batteryless modification on a Profex II the "low battery" warning keeps showing on the display. The unit works fine otherwise.

This is usually a result of the plated thru hole connections being pulled out when you de-solder a battery. I never de-solder the battery for just that reason. I break it out.

I did "wiggle" it out, no de-soldering.
I'll re-open and check it.
Thanks Ken

Oh... if that's the case, what do i do about it?

The battery-less memory has nothing to do with the circuit that checks for low battery. That is looking for 5 volts off the voltage regulator. That circuits works with or without a battery in place.

Re-solder the connections at the old battery terminals, that will assure the contact is made to both sides of the two-sided board.
Was there battery leakage and a possible burned trace on the board??

Thanks Ken
I'll check it.
No leakage, the battery was fresh and everything looked nice and tidy.
I might just have been carless when i removed the battery. Embarassed

Problem solved. You were right Ken, re-soldering did it.
Thanks
