Hey Gang,
Tony Booth will be on the ET Record Shop this Saturday night, if you get a chance tune in. The band backing him up will be, Drew Covington on Fiddle, Billy Johnson on guitar, Earl Erb on acoustic guitar, Dina Johnson on Drums, Ric Boyer on Bass, Walt Cunningham on Keys and I'll be playing steel. Sounds like every song is a shuffle and it's going to be a fun night. Come on by or listen in for some good country. That's on WSM 650 Am on your radio dial.

Thanks,

Y'all sounded great Mike! Was on my way home from an acoustic "jam" with Doug Jernigan on dobro..just too tired to make it over to see y'all. I was just with Tony Booth last saturday...great guy and great music...and in my opinion the best band setup for the midnite jamboree.

Tuned in late it's 1 AM here when the show goes on...Missed the first song but man the band was tight on everything I did here..Didn't hear any band introduction so I was wondering who was playing what..Sounded like Billy Johnsons smooth guitar along also.. jenifer did mention Jimmy Capps.Good show,Tony sounded hoarse on some high notes bu its great to hear Tony once again..Also someone I have not heard since abput 62-63 Jimmy Snyder..Last time was at the old Rag Doll in N. Hollywood...Lets have more of this and I'll stay up...

Hey Mike:
Tony was our bassist and front man for the last five years while I was with Gene. That was from '83 to '88 and he stayed on after I departed. His brother Larry Booth held that spot with us before him, from '78 through '83. I can relate to your enjoying Tony and Gene... it was like our own little package-show with Tony and Gene as we always did a few of Tony's hits before we brought Gene onstage. Good for you pal. Sorry I missed the show but I have no doubt that your playing was absolutely great.

Sincerely,
Chris "Tiny" Olson

Hey Tiny,
Was always envious of your job with Gene, with you getting to work with both of my favorite singers. I always admired your playing too on Gene's material. I still play some of your licks I stole from those songs. Thanks for the compliments on my playing.

Mike:

That gig you had with Barbara all those years wasn't bad either. Thanks for the compliment goes right back to you man. And I've used plenty of your licks over the years as well.

Hi Joe:

Yup, that was Larry Booth. He sang on "Stagger Lee" and the Waylon tune, "I'll Go Back to Her" on that band LP. Thanks for your compliments on my ride on Stagger Lee. Did you know that it was me who sang on the blues song, "Shotgun Blues" on that LP ?? That was something else... I'm just not sure what.?.?.?!!!

Your pal,
Tiny O.
