where do you live Carroll? I have helped several people out with left and right hand technique in a two or three hour session. If not too far away maybe we can get together. My wife makes the finest beans and cornbread you ever tasted. How did you get the name Carroll? Carroll Benoit wouldn't tell me. My mother didn't like me from the day I was born so she named me Carroll.

Carroll,

Jerry Byrd's Instruction Course and his Video Seminar are the best for all-around techniques and info ......imho. Ain't cheap but worth every penny if you want to get it right:
http://www.scottysmusic.com/byrdinstruction.htm

With 50 years of geetar under your belt; You might also try here for fretboard navigation:
http://steelguitarforum.com/Forum8/HTML/002238.html

Then the World of Steel is wide open with Greg's fine selections posted earlier / above, as well as other members' material.
And materials right here in the SGF "store":
http://pedalsteelmusic.com/instruction/nonpedal.html
And on the 'For Sale: Music, Lessons, etc' SGF board:
http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewforum.php?f=18

After you find & make a list of material that seems to serve your interests, then you might search the SGF for that materials name and see what other FoBro's might have to say about them, or post a query here to see what opinions Others might have about specific material you find.

Sounds to me like yer in for a mighty fun and rewarding ride!
