I am setting up a C6 on an old S-10 3x4. Which of the 5 standard pedals would you move to Knee levers and why. Which would you consider the most important pedals. Just so you will know I have never played C6 only E9.
Thanks

Bill-If you have always played E9 and never C6, it would be a lot easier and more familiar to you to tune to Basic E6, same intervals and pedals as C6.
But I would put the standard C6 pedals 5-6-7 on your 3 pedals, then if you have only 2 knee levers, you would have to pull the 3rd string E to D# on one lever.(notice how that D# looks familiar to you, same as C to B)) one option on the 2nd lever is E to F's, which is the same as C to C#,
or C# to D, which is tha same as A to Bb,.Check my Website Page 7 for tuning ideas.(Especially My Lean and Mean.)
I have 5 knee levers on my E6 Lean and Mean tuning. Send me an Email(address below) and I will go into more detail...al.

Thanks Al for your ideas. This is for a friend coming from a Lap steel and he has no prior experience with the E9. |
