I just got a beautiful Valco doubleneck console from SGF brother Buck Dilly. I want to use two tunings -- E13th and A6 -- on this guitar.
Here's the question: I don't know which tuning to put on which neck. Is there a "logical" way to look at this? Or, is it a matter of personal preference?
And, what about triple necks? What tuning goes where? |

I like my favorite on the first neck, second favorite on the next, etc.
Mine is C6th, then A6th. I had E13th on the second but am working through Rick and Herbs Tuff Fun Tab. I am starting to like A6th more. I may have to move it.

I personally tend to put the higher/thinner stringed tuning on the thicker section of the double or triple neck steel; for a help in resonation> that is; if the steel is two or three different thickneses in wood. Otherwise; I tend to go with what Gary does.
