I'm looking for a Les Paul Custom, in black or white. Gold needs to be in pretty good shape, but not mint. NO EPIPHONES!!! |

Hi Stevie, I had two Black/Gold Les Pauls Customs.( not at the same time)both were bought new in the early/mid 80's when they were like $1000 or even less...
Very Kool axes. I sold one then was sorry and ran out and bought another.I sold the second one here in Charlotte around '94 or '95.
I hardly played them and the Gold wore off anyway and they looked like CxxP after that. Especially the bridge PUP cover and the roller bridge.
I wrote Gibson a letter, I'm still waiting for the reply !
get a good one !
They ROCK !
Do you still have the EPI Gold Top ? |

No, I traded the Epi goldtop, for a Trace acoustic amp, which a close friend of mine promptly appropriated.
I think the gold looks better with a LITTLE tarnish--Sorta like the binding turning brown. Gives the guitar "character."
And I'm NOT talking about the "relic" thing... |

Stephen,
In 1969 my Mother bought me a brand new one which I still have today. It's not for sale but I wish I had some pictures to post because you would love it. |

Thought I had one, but the deal looks weird at this point---Holler if you got one. |
