My Wife Anna bought this Vidio at Wall Mart of a Concert with Ray Price,Willie Nelson, and Merle Haggard and one of the best Steel players I have heard. Non other than Mike Cass and what a super job he done playing that Steel. I beleve it is a new MSA and great sound. There are a couple of other Steel players that played one of them played a non pedal Steel with Willie and Merle but I did not hear much of them as I had to come in my Steel room and try to sound like Mike Cass.

Sam,
I have seen this video on PBS a couple of times and it a great concert. If it's the same one, which I think it is, it also had Ray Benson singing background with them.
The steel player, I did not recognize, but he was playing an old model Sho-Bud and he had great tone.
Just thought I would throw this in |

When Ray Price came on in the beginning of the show, Mike Cass was playing a GFI, and to tell you the truth, I really didn't care much for the tone. To me, it sounded real thin.
Later on in the show there was a fellow who played a Sho~Bud and a Stringmaster. He also filled in every once in a while on saxaphone. |

It's almost identical to a "Video" and a "Concert". |

Ray Benson & Asleep at the Wheel backed everybody except Ray Price. The other steel player/sax player is Eddie Rivers of Asleep at the Wheel. I saw the concert in person in Austin last year and also own the DVD. Great Show! |
