Hi folks…I have a 1991 D-10 Mullen for sale. I’m in the middle of a total restoration on it and it should be finished within two to three months. I was building this guitar up for me personally; however do to unforeseen circumstances (wife needs back surgury),so I have to sell it. So let me tell you about the guitar.
It will be high gloss black, this Formica I had special ordered because it had to be highly polished.
Beautifully finished maple under belly naturally stained and finished with 4 coats of clear lacquer.
New aluminum strips on the front of the guitar buffed to a mirror gleam
I’m installing a aluminum strip on the step down on the body, between the necks that is also polished
The changers were sent down to Mullen steel guitars and all the changer string fingers were updated and replaced and are now black anodized instead of the original silver ones.
The necks are all repolished as well as the pedal board
The pedals and knee levers are black anodized
All the undercarriage workings ie; bell cranks, cross rods, pull rods, pedal rods etc. have been cleaned and polished.
All the nylon pieces under the body and the tuning nuts have been replaced with new ones
It has 2 new fret boards
The pick ups are Mullen originals single coils, reading at 18k an 18.5k ohms.
The machine heads are all repolished, as well as the brass string rollers and holders.
The end plates have been sent out and chrome plated again to show chrome quality.
The set up at this point is a Emmons set up, however if anyone decides to purchase this guitar before I get to the rodding stage I will try my best to set it up to your settings that you would like.
You have your choice of 8 pedals and 4,5 or 6 knee levers, I can also supply a 7th lever but I’m missing a couple of bell cranks for it, so if you would like 7 levers I would need 2 Mullen 5/16 bell cranks to install on it.
The guitar comes with a out west flight case (not a standard case) built specifically for this guitar. Black ABS and riveted with all aluminum extruded angles, steel corners, recess steel latches with locks, and a silver velvet interior.
So you are getting a brand new guitar and flight case with killer sound for ½ the price of new and with a delivery time a lot less than the builders.
I’m selling the guitar for $2495.00US + $100.00US shipping (any ware in the lower 48 states or Canada,) if the shipping is more to these areas I will pay the difference. SORRY NO TRADES.
If you would like to know a little about this guitar prier to myself owning it, this guitar was grey in color and used to be owned by Danny Cormier. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind if you emailed him.
For anyone who is interested in this guitar can call me at 1 403-934-9331 (if I don’t answer please leave me a message and I will get back to you)
