The great jazz steel guitarist Al Vescovo usually plays on Thursday nights at a club that's about 30-35 miles east of Ventura. It's a short (1/2 hour drive on the 101 freeway.

I play up there once in a while in various wine & cigar bars in a duo with Leon Russell's son Teddy Jack. He plays guitar and sings and I play steel with a midi rig.
