On a MSA sidekick, I am getting a high pitch sound on the 3&4 strings. I have raised and lowered the pickup, but no change. Can someone help me out on this? Thanks,Jim

Jim, it's a common problem, nothing to do with the pickup. Any of the following may help:

- Change strings
– Change strings to a different brand (try Jagwire)
– Change string gauges
– Use a soft nail buffer to gently buff out scratches on top of the relevant changer finger (be very careful to maintain the radius of the finger - flat spots will make the problem worse. You may already have a flat spot in which case try swapping the finger with one from your lowest strings)
– Do a search on the forum for string noise or 'zing' and try out a few of the other ideas on offer.
If none of this works, learn to live with it until you find a new guitar. By picking further to the left (around the 24th fret) you may be able to minimise the overtone to the point where it's not driving you insane. Smile
