New speaker for Evans Fet 500 lv

Hi forumites. My Evans is just about to be completed to a head/cabinet configuration. It has just been serviced as it's a 1985 model. I was wondering if any of you who had a similar amp of the same age with the "eclipse" speaker, have replaced the speaker with an Eminence Kappalite (3015) speaker ?? I believe the eclipse is a 4 ohm speaker and the Kappalite's are 8 ohms. Those of you who might have changed, did you notice any significant volume loss with the 8 ohms?? .... Because of the age of the amp, I thought a new lighter speaker might be in order, and I've heard good things about the Kappalite. Thanking you for any input.
