I want to commend and thank Walter for his Clip
of the week, which I look forward to and enjoy.
I have been on this forum over 3 yrs. now and
I have never seen anything negative from Walter
In fact his posts always have a positive ring
about them.
Thanks Walter.

Paul,

I agree with you 100%!!! Unlike so many others that I have come across in the music world, Walter is a "Giver" and not a "Taker." He is really to be appreciated.

I agree; I'ts so nice to be able to enjoy the work that he does here. It just shows how much better the world would be if we had no contention, but who best can work and best agree. Thank you Walter.

I want to echo all the sentiments expressed so far about Walter Stettner. What an un-selfish, giving way this man has about him! He is a true steel guitar hero who keeps giving of himself. He is the man, not only with the Clip of the Week. His tribute site to our fallen heroes is a true work of love. His thorough and tasteful web site in honor of one of our legends,
Lloyd Green, is proof of his undying love for the steel, as well as his huge respect for this man.
Let Walter get the recognition he so rightfully deserves. This thread should be the first one in a series entitled "Acknowledgment due" ...or something like that.

Thanks so much for the kind words, they really make me blush. Embarassed

I'm glad that you like the little Sunday game, I have no intention to stop this, there is enough material available for the next few hundred years! Smile Of course I should add that I wouldn't know the correct answer in several cases, some of the clips are really tough and I need confirmation by reading the liner notes of the respective album or confirming with some of the experts.

We all share the love for the steel guitar, so I think that sharing some of the great tracks is by far more fun than anxiously watching the stuff at home, hoping that nobody else ever gets to hear it. Smile

It is true, my record room is already packed, but there is still space enough for my own steel... Smile

Thanks again and best regards, Walter

Roy & I are proud to call Walter our friend! We first met him in St. Louis and we will keep meeting him there as long as the Lord permits us. He is a gentleman, never a bad word for anyone and when Roy gets stuck guess who he goes to for help? You are right, Walter! I keep telling him that there are too many miles between us but we stay in touch through out the year. He is a "one of a kind" and we both love him so very much. We are proud of him and all his work for everyone! We can't wait to see him (and you too Thomas) in September. Love you Walter! Laurie

Walter knows a country song when he hears it. It's commendable for him to share his music and knowledge with us.
