I have used them for several months and continue to be impressed with them every time I gig.

The humbucking dose just that, cuts the noise, but the adjustable set screws (2 rows) really allow me to balance the volume of every string. No more weak 3rd etc, every string is the same from 1-10. I also like being able to fatten the smaller srings and harden the heavier wound strings.

These features change the way I play, I do not have to step on the volume pedal to get the unwound string to jump out, they are right there.

I know that this is not a new idea in pickups but boy they sure work great and sound like a single coil. I am not a humbucking pickup fan but these pickups really do the job for me. Thanks Bob Hoffnar and Jay Dee and Frank Carter for the heads up.

My Fessenden D-10 came with a set on them. I'm not sure if Jim Pitman made these, or whether they're newer ones that Bob Hoffnar made. But I think they sound just great. I actually think they are competitive with my much-loved Lawrence 705 pickups. Not sure they're exactly the same, but very, very good. So much so that even though I have a set of 705's ready to put on it, I haven't. I figure, why mess with a good thing? Quiet as a churchmouse, and great tone, to my tastes.

I'm trying a Lawrence 912 on my 12-string Uni Zum. But if that doesn't do it, I need to get in line when Bob puts together a 12-string version. Actually, I probably just need to do that anyway, as soon as I recover from recent purchases. Mr. Green

Thanks guys ! I am working on getting a pile of pickups ready for the Dallas show. I have 12st pickups available for wide mount steels. Also the 10st pickups will now fit into Carters and Sho Buds.

I'll update my website at some point. Its on my list along with joining a gym and eating more fruits and vegtables this year.
