been trying to work on a very special lick,,,I've heard Hal use it many times,,,as other steelers,,,,I've tried, over and over,,,and is driving me nuts. using strings 4 and 6, its an assending scale in half steps. Hal used it in "dont you ever get tired of hurting me". can someone please be of assistance and show me how this is done???

Joe, could you be talking about the chormatic lick on strings 3 & 5 which is played 3rd frt w/ped A, then 2nd frt w/ped A & B, then 3rd frt no pedals, then 2nd frt w/B pedal? This lick creates a droning/constant B note on the 3rd string, while the 5th string goes down chromatically from E, to D#(Eb), to D, to C# (Db). Regards, Steve

Jack Dougherty has this lick on "Steel on the web" section,,,,,"you tube",,,starting at 1:04 if this is any help. still trying to figure it out
