'52 Fender D8 Professional non-pedal steel guitar

Listing this for a neighbor. Can provide a phone contact for him if anyone needs it.

This looks to be original except for a Pelican case.(My opinion and his assertion).

There is some chrome tarnish and some minor scrape marks. Some alligatoring in the laquer which is visible in the photos.
All the original electronics are working properly. Pickup seems to have full volume.

All of the lollipop keys work and hold tension ok.. One of the keys is slightly bent, but its hardly noticable and does't affect the action of the key.

These models had a 22.5" string length and used the trapezoid shaped "diamond head" pickups. Walnut finish.
This link should provide a slideshow with several pics. If not, I can email some.

He has an asking price of $1000 for guitar and case.

If your friend will pay shipping to Nashville, Tn. I will buy the ’52 Professional Dual-8, assuming the (3)-legs are also included.

I don't think he wants to sell it, because; he just cancelled the agreement that we had for a definite sale to send it somewhere else to sell! Probably for more money! He backed out of the deal!

I wasn't aware of that. I know he did talk to someone from the Forum the night before.

Sorry.
