Hi all, Quick question for the know-how people. I'm fairly new to lap steel and I got myself a Guyatone D8 lap steel and I was wondering if there is any kind of adjustment that I can do to lower the pickups a bit. I must be heavy handed because when I play up the neck it tends to bottom out! Any help would be great!
Thanks for your time and information,
Laurent

If there's screws on both ends of the pickup they're probably for adjusting the height. At least that was the way it was on my Bruno Conqueror that was made by Guyatone.

Maybe you can raise the bridge. My Guyatone S6 has a bridge that adjusts...Jerry

Can you post a picture of the pickup you're trying to adjust? That might give us a better idea of what you could try.

Hi guys, sorry for not getting back with a pic yet, I've been gigging all weekend and this morning had to be at work for 6:00am, very tired. Promise to post a pic and we'll solve this mystery.
Thanks again,
Laurent
