Hey all!
I'm brand new to the pedal steel world... What DVD's and / or books would anyone recommend for a total beginner. I've played 6 string electric and acoustic for about 10 years, and piano for close to 20 years, so the basic theory knowledge is there, I just don't have any clue on technique, etc.
I'm also looking for a good teacher here in Charlotte, NC. Any references? THANKS! |

everyone is gonna recommend something different.
Thats said, I will recommend Bruce Boutons dvd for a beginner. Excellent camera work/angles. Reasonable pace....and best of all things you can actually use in real life situations.
For a book, I'd recommend Winnie Winstons book with cd.
best of luck finding a teacher..not easy where I live. |
