Has anyone ever recorded a CD that features all lap steel guitar solos with no other instruments in the background ?

Not sure about lap steel, but Susan Alcorn has done a lot of unaccompanied pedal steel. You can buy her CDs here on the Forum.

BILL STAFFORD, ("Olde Smoothy") did a GREAT cd about 7 years ago called "GOING HOME". No one else is on that cd. His steel guitar work is so chicken-skin beautiful, anything added would only spoil it ! Actually, I should qualify this...he played it on a 14 string pedal SIERRA, not a lap job. Sorry about that, but no matter, it's a beautiful cd. http://www3.telus.net/public/lake_r/

So, Ed are you planning on recording a few tunes? Would like to hear them when you are finished. Come down sometime, we will jam.

Hi Morg !
Nope, I just want to know if someone else has recorded some pure, solo steel guitar music, so I can buy their CD if there is one available. Ed
