my pickup reads 22k ohm 10 string pedal steel. want to add volume tone circit. any thoughts on values fot pots, cap. any hlp would be welcomed.

I would start with a 500K pot and a .047 cap. A higher value cap will reduce the highs, but will not increase the lows. A lower value cap will not reduce the highs as much. A higher value pot will increase the highs or brightness. A lower value pot will lower the highs and not sound as bright. A volume pedal will also alter the sound if the value don't match the pickup. Some steels use a 500K volume pedal.
