Can anyone tell me what the 1st tuning is? I have my MSA tuned to the lower one (E9th).

1G, 2E, 3C, 4E, 5G, 6E, 7C, 8A, 9F and 10C
The tuning I have always used is:
1F#, 2Eb, 3Ab, 4E, 5B, 6Ab, 7F#, 8E, 9D and 10B

Paul,

The first tuning you listed is only one string off from being the C6 tuning usually found on the back neck of a D-10. The fourth string, that you have listed as an "E", is usualy an "A". So, that C6 tuning would read G,E,C,A,G,E,C,A,F,C from high to low.

Hope that helps.
Tony
