| I know you can change the volume for each instrument but is it possible to change the the overall volume of a song? Sometimes one or more songs are louder than others and I want to be able to increase or lower the volume for the entire song without having to do one insrument at a time. |

Use Ctrl+Shift together with the 1-9 and 0 keys on the keyboard to select Favorite Instruments. For example, let’s change the Piano part to Rhodes Piano.
Press Ctrl+4 to select the Piano part.
Press Ctrl+Shift+2 to select the Favorite #2. That is Rhodes Piano.
Use Ctrl+Shift and the minus [-] and equals [=] keys to decrease/increase the patch by 1.

There are additional keystrokes available. These keys are also listed on the pull down menus beside the function. Remember also that hot keys may access any function on the pull-down menu by pressing the Alt key and the first letter of the Menu followed by the underlined letter of the command. For example, Alt+F+O would access File | Open.
Note: It is necessary to tap the spacebar twice on the main screen to start playback because entering chords can include a single spacebar. In the StyleMaker, you start songs by hitting the spacebar once. In the Opt. | Preferences menus, there are other ways that the SPACEBAR can be set to work.

Your system may be different so please adjust my answer to whatever works for you and your system.
I had a soundcard with a 1/8" female out. I went down to Radio Shack and bought a long cord with a 1/4" male input jack in with two RCA jacks out (cheap). Also at Radio Shack I purchased the 1/8" to 1/4" converter adaptor. Plug the 1/8" part of the adapter into your sound card. Then the 1/4" male input from the RCA cord goes into the 1/4" female part of the adapter. Then plug the RCA jacks into your stereo system and control the volume with the volume knob on your stereo. I had a remote control so I never had to get up.
Here is an alternative.
Buy a higher end sound card from a company like M-Audio. You will then get some sort of input device where you can plug your instrument in (1/4" guitar input) and record it digitally. There is a volume control on the M-Audio device which will let you adjust the volume to BIAB.
