Even with pedals,Lloyd Green uses forward & reverse slants. Check him out next time you get a chance to see him play.

Now I see why I was recommended to get a different style of bar than the "dobro" one for starting out. Can't do those slants with the hand grip thang.

With the cost of gas Drew we are a loooong way apart.But actualy my brother is quite close to you.He lives on Jewell Rd.just south of Howell.His wife was a RN at the hospital in Howell.

Had to consult my own book (shameless plug) ... Billy uses a 10-string non-pedal tuning (Hi to Low) D,G,E,C,A,G,E,C,A F ... same as Bobbe Seymour's 8-string C6th/Famaj7 with 9th and a 5th on top.

Billy is the nicest guy you'll ever talk with ... very modest and considers himself in a continual learning curve on the instrument. Looks like he's got one of those Zirconium bars. In the early days of the forum, they were still being made. Now, those who have 'em covet them dearly.
