I saw it for the first time over the weekend. It's for Colonial Life Insurance, the setting is presumably Kingman, Ariz. ... and the music in the background is all steel and all great.

Anyone else seen it? Anyone know who the player is?

Thanks.

Uhh Jim,
Have you got a link or something?

I haven't seen it, but if it was recorded in Kingman with local talent, my money would be on Chuck Back, or Bill Bailey.

Well,

It was definatly filmed in Kingman, but as to the steel player, it could be Chuck or Bill, or someone else from out of town. There's not to many of us steelers in this area, and it's not me, I'm not that good. Don't know who it is.

Thanks for the link Patrick.

Yeah, I saw it yesterday. Some nice swing steel. I'd guess on an instrument of the fixed tuning variety v. the pedal steel.

Got my attention right away Exclamation Very Happy

There is a possibility it wasn't recorded specially for that spot, it could just be some stock "royalty-free" stuff. (Big production companies have tons of that.)

Definitely pedal steel, though! Very Happy

Its not Chuck Back, not Chucks style.
Most likely a Nashcity player.
