Yes Joe, That's Redd Volkaert. Ricky Davis played a lot with Redd back in 03' when that pic was taken.

Here's another.

I've been droolin' over this thing all day. I've sent Mike 3 emails but no answer. I even talked to Ricky about it this afternoon. This guitar is my Dream-Bud. Ricky said it's the real deal.

Does anyone know if Redd had any kids? I met a guy once whose last name was spelled exactly the same. He didn't say he was Redd's son, but who he didn't say he wasn't either.

Oh Well Mike i just don't know about this ? I don't know if you have a house full of guitars and need the room or what but I have one just like yours and '' NO WAY JOSE '' would i sell mine for so little . I bought mine new in 1977 and it's still one of the best i have ever played . Yes it's true i do have a new Emmons LeGrande-lll on order but my '' Sho~Bud '' will be with me for my lifetime of playing ! The Emmons will be my ''road guitar'' and is much lighter ! I hope i'm not stepping on anyones toes here and it's not my ententions but this is one great steel guitar !!!
Mike i sold a L.D.G. for $2700.00 and this sweetheart is worth more than that in my opinion ! Sorry if i crossed anyone . G.P. Crying or Very sad

Gary..

I appreciate the ShoBud counsel brother!! Here's the long and short of it. I've fallen in love with my 68 Emmons and I just don't play this Bud no more. As such, this is too nice a guitar to just sit around and not be played. These great old guitars need to be played and enjoyed not just looked at!!!

I may talk myself out of this before too long!!! Don't worry 'bout no toes!!

Thanks
Mike
