How does one hook up 2 NV122s & make the 2nd 112 a slave amp with tone Etc controlled by the 1st 112. I know its been posted here before,,I just cant find it Sad

Also are the 122s 8ohm ?

I was thinking, running the post eq of the 1st 112 into the power amp in of the 2nd 112??

I dont have a second 112 yet, but I was wondering how it could be done.

Thanks all Smile

Line out to line in and the one should control the other. Kenny

Richard,
If You have a DE7 & a RV-3 & a black box,try this. Come from steel to Black Box to Volume Pedal. from BB go to input Front of amp 1.Back of amp one come out go to RV-3 in. out of RV-3 to in back of amp 1.
Short cable out of RV-3 to in of DE7, Out of DE7 to front panel of amp 2.this way you have volume on both amps. If You want to slave,go to input back of amp 2.I don't turn my RV3 on. I used it more or less as a splitter.it has a little differ sound this way.

Does anyone run from the post send on one amp to the post return on the other amp? I think this could yield some good reverb results.

I use a Boss digital reverb, delay unit and on the first amp, I run the Boss thru the effects send and return and then, come out of the other side of the Boss unit into the 2nd amp. I don't use delay and very little reverb and the above configuration will give you true stereo for the player, if your amps are on your left and right ears. I have seen players set their amps on top of each other and to me, that sorta defeats the purpose of using 2 amps. Out front for listeners, it doesn't make much difference on their sound I have found. To much wet mix from the Boss will put you in a deep well so I use it very sparingly.

Henry, is the Boss revurb unit you use a stereo output. Can each side be set for different reverbs ?
Really curious since I dabble in playing stereo steel.

The Boss is a stereo output but only 1 input. It's an RV-2 and I also have an RV-5 that is true stereo with 2 inputs and 2 outputs but don't like it as well as the RV-2. I don't think that you can have different effects for each output on either unit. Never tried that. Teh RV-2 also has delay but the RV-5 is only reverb.
