I know we have several folks here in central/south MS. that read the SGF everyday. MSP(MS. STEEL PLAYERS CLUB) first Friday night dance of 08' will be held at the Petal American Legion in Petal, MS. , 8 to 12, on Feb.1st. Everyone is welcome. Staff band will be myself on steel and we may have Royce Tarver from Louisiana coming in also to swap verses and rides and do some twin steel with me also. Waiting on him to call back. Tonya Hunt on drums, Glen Musgrove on bass, BC Duiett on lead and vocals along with various MSP staff singers such as Ed Cluff, BR Rogers, Julie Musgrove, Crystal Graham(?), and of course, MSP VP- Ellis Olsen. There'll also be others there. Classic Country mixed with steel guitar all night!

Thanks Tom. Ellis did a great job on the Friday night dance. We had six different vocalists through the night that performed with the band. Great time and Royce Tarver played some fine steel with some Rugg and Myrick licks ringing thru the night. March 7th is our next MSP Friday night dance. I imagine 3-7 will be twice what our first Friday was. Everybody was wanting another dance next Friday but they'll have to wait. MSP sponsors one a month. See you on 2-9 in G'port, Tom.
