The Toy Hearts is a Bluegrass group from the UK.
Stewart Johnson plays some real tasty Dobro, and his daughter Sophia plays Guitar and sings harmony with her sister Hannah. They also feature fiddle, mandolin and standup bass. They sound wonderful - the picking is brilliant, and the vocals by Hannah and Sophia are gorgeous.

They have a great video of a live performance:

This is one thing that I don't like about MySpace either. Jerry Douglas has the same restrictions.

Pretty Good band though. I am not sure I would buy their CD but the song is OK.

I don't know why that would be - I'm their friend, and I'm a "band".

Here's their email:
info@toyhearts.co.uk

and their web site:

Same here, but it was they who sent a "friend request" to me, perhaps they've set their preferences so that it's a one way deal?

It just warms the cockles of my heart to see a dobro player use a bullet bar. I don't know why, it just does.

Jude

I remembered, I know why but I better not say. My mouth has already got me in trouble once this week.

Yeah!
Hey Stewart, if you read this - why don't you join the forum and get in on the fun!?! We'd love to have you join us.

I received an email from Stewart this morning.
They didn't intentionally exclude "bands", it's just some kind of anomaly in the system.

He asked me to explain the situation - here's what he said:
Quote:
Hi Rick, I really feel bad that people have had problems about contacting us!! There is some sort of 'glich' on our My Space site which we are trying to get sorted. I don't know how or why it has happened but we want to be in touch with as many people as possible, especially steel guitar pickers!
Perhaps you could inform people on Steel Guitar Forum that we are are trying to fix the problem and send our apologies. We would be extremely grateful if you could do this for us. I keep meaning to join SGF myself but I am very busy right now trying to finish our new CD and preparing to go to Texas in March.

Texas in March, hmmmm . . .
Now what could be happening in Texas in March that would interest an ace Dobro picker like Stewart Johnson?

If your guy goes to: MySpace home page,
settings, spam- he will find this:

under friend requests:

[] Allow bands to send friend requests

If he checks the box we are in.
