My buddy Dave Albro is in dire need of cash, so instead of learning on this excellent instrument, he needs to sell it. I have played it, it sounds wonderful, and plays like butter. It is set up Emmons with a wound 6th string. If you have any questions, just ask, I will get you together with him. I believe he's looking for $1500 for it.

Michael, hopefully not sounding dumb, but I've never heard of a Thomas. Can you shed some light on them. Also it looks like there are 4 knee levers? I'm going to be shopping for another D-10 around the end of February so I'm looking at all "brands". Wish I could buy today, this one looks like a "steel". |

Larry, there are several interested buyers, I imagine it will be gone fairly quickly. I had never heard of them, it is a very well made guitar. It has the standard Emmons floor pedal arrangement, with the knees being LKL E's-F, LKR E's-Eb... I honestly can't remember what the right leg does... seems it raises the top F# to G#, and does something else... RKR does the 2nd and 9th string thing... there was something different in the RKL, I just can't think of it... I did set it for using a wound 6th string, it's an .024w on it... _________________ Mikey D... H.S.P.

Thomas Steel Guitars were built by Barry Thomas in California. He made them as a hobby since his net worth was in the 8-figure range and owned an equipment rental company. Due to personal reasons he moved and stopped making them around 1999 or so. They are a fairly well made instrument with a few innovative features for that time period. Barry is now located in Oklahoma. |
